ABSTRACT

I have been informed by Dr. LeRoy Hatchcock of the Centers for Disease Control of a printer's error in column B, table 3 of my paper, "Epidemiologic Modeling Using a Microcomputer Spreadsheet Package" (Am J Epidemiol 1984;120:943-51). The error involves the substitution of / for + between I2 and J2. The correct formula is

(A2+B2h(l–(H2/D2))+P2*((I2+J2)/L2

The Journal and the printer join me in apologizing for any inconvenience caused to readers as a result of this error.
